Senator Reid on Slavery and Socialized Medicine

This is another example of why we need men and women of integrity and principle to represent our best interests and the best interests of the country.

In his speech to pass government healthcare, Senator Harry attempted to rewrite history as to the Democratic and Republican party’s’ respective support of Emancipation, Women’s Suffrage, and Civil Rights. It was wrong for the leader of the Senate to lie to the American people for political gain. I hope the good citizens of Nevada take note. On these most important issues in our history the Republican Party has been on the right side of history and on protecting what works in our health insurance marketplace and fixing what is broken they are again.

Here is the actual history:

13th Amendment to Abolish Slavery

86 – 0 100% Republicans

15 – 50 23% Democrats

4 – 5 44% Democrats

Kansas City Star relates health insurance burden.

When Laura Lee Jones learned in May that the cost of health insurance for her 16-employee company was going up a whopping 19.6 percent, she was hardly surprised.

Jones said she is unsure how much longer she can keep absorbing the rising costs, but she is determined to keep offering health coverage as long as she can.
