In Sports Illustrated, I  just read the tragic story of Joe Gaetjens, goal scoring hero of the 1-0 U.S. World Cup victory in 1950 over far superior world soccer power England with a shot that reverberated through the soccer world at the time. He was eventually arrested and killed by Papa Doc in a fetid Haitian prison. Why doesn’t Congressman Cleaver realize dictators like the Castro brothers oppress, torture and kill their people on emotional whims and how his words of blessing on those two murderers hurts all those whose family members have been brutalized and killed by the Castro brothers?

  1. Joe Gaetjens is not the only forgotten haitian who have help the US,even the Haitian history have been distorted at time by the American
media. They have always deliberatly portrayed Haiti in a negative manner I asked myself sometime why they never told American people about Haitian contribution when come to US independence I wonder why the never
told the true history when they are talking about Haiti,it allways proverty, voodo and violence, but the fact that,if you go back even 40 years ago you can compere the crime rate about Haiti you will see that our contry had the lowest crime than any other country in world, but when
to denegrade our country they will say anything they want to put us down
but should remember that we will never forgot our history.
